{"id":120,"date":"2013-11-27T21:50:11","date_gmt":"2013-11-27T21:50:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/loveisarose.wordpress.com\/?p=120"},"modified":"2021-11-24T16:08:22","modified_gmt":"2021-11-24T22:08:22","slug":"what-are-you-grateful-for-this-thanksgiving","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.loveisarose.com\/blog\/what-are-you-grateful-for-this-thanksgiving\/","title":{"rendered":"What are you grateful for this thanksgiving?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last year around this time we shared the &#8220;Ten-Second Miracle of Thanksgiving&#8221; with you.\u00a0 Our family tried it.\u00a0 There were a couple of surprised and &#8220;I&#8217;m not doing that&#8221;\u00a0looks on the faces of some family members.\u00a0 And, they did it anyway!\u00a0 It was a miraculous experience hearing what was important to every one, especially the little children!\u00a0 We thought it was worth sharing this message again with you this year.\u00a0 Here it goes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;More than turkey with gravy, chestnut stuffing, or pumpkin pie, the thing I most look forward to at thanksgiving dinner is the &#8216;Ten-Second Miracle&#8217;, that moment when the person carving the turkey says, &#8216;Let&#8217;s go around the table and say what each of us is grateful for this year.&#8217; You&#8217;ll hear groans, and someone will mutter, &#8216;This is corny.&#8217; Then, you&#8217;ll take ten seconds to stop and think about what you&#8217;re going to say. The room becomes quiet as each person relates the one thing that keeps them getting out of bed each morning. It&#8217;s guaranteed that the closer you are to being at the end of the group, the more emotional and heartfelt your gratitude statement will be.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why don&#8217;t we give ourselves the small, precious gift of ten seconds every day to be thankful for something specific? Gratitude is a powerful force, capable of mending fences and harvesting hope. Gratitude has saved more lives than we&#8217;ll ever know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;My wish for you this Thanksgiving is the gift of freedom to share your gratitude with the ones you love, and an open mind to receive the ideas of others, even when they seem foreign to you.
